I love taking something that is old and unwanted and turning it into something beautiful!
Recently I did a Trash to Treasure video where I repurposed an old wire spool. I used hemp cord and wrapped it around the middle part of the spool. I added foam and fabric for the seat.
I cut a piece of foam to fit the top part and covered it with a farmhouse style fabric.
In the same video I redid a few other things including an old basket that I picked up at a garage sale and some old table leaves..
I made little Christmas signs out of the table leaves and sold them on my Etsy shop.

In another trash to treasure project I worked on a birdcage and a basket.
The birdcage I picked up at a Goodwill thrift store for $12. It wasn’t too bad looking to begin with but I knew I wanted to paint it white and bring some of that nice dark finish through. In the picture below you can see how it looked when I bought it…
Here is the after..
I made a little wooden tag and added the words using my Silhouette Cameo.
The basket received a coat of paint and some words…

I recently brought life to an old clock that didn’t work anymore, creating a farmhouse sign out of it.
I love how the original dark finish of the clock comes out along the edges.
I had a few more items on this video. Watch it to see the rest!
The last trash to treasure episode featured on this post was one I did last summer. I used an old sheet of beadboard, a wire magazine holder and a wooden magazine rack..
Before…
After..
The other two pieces I used to create a magazine rack that hangs on the wall..
